Bid on medical imaging time

This will shortly (sometime in the fall 2008) be a preliminary, but working site where patients may bid on available time slots at imaging facilities that are otherwise idle and available.

The concept and in fact the operation the site are simple. Much time on expensive medical imaging equipment is idle time. By permitting patients to bid on the idle time, two things happen:

The facility generates incremental revenue and profit to help pay for the machine
Patients can reduce the amount they pay for imaging to a much lower cost than that usually charged for use of the equipment

Any data entered is used only for this specific purpose. I will not use it myself for any other purpose nor will I provide any data to any other party ever.

Facilities likely will be available at first in the area around Philadelphia PA where I live and do most of my work. If initially successful, I will endeavor to expand the service elsewhere as quickly as possible
